I have a notebook with a scroll gesture area on the right side of the touchpad. In Vista (haven't tried XP) scrolling the source code in the IDE only works for the first tabbed document. If I connect a normal mouse the scroll wheel works fine in all documents.
This is so incredibly frustrating. I can't develop on my notebook! It can't scroll my code!
Scrolling issue with Vista/touchpad
I've got a laptop with one of those scroll areas and Vista business but I'm running 4.2b5 and the scrolling works fine, as does the find function (your other post).
I don't recall having had any problems with any version of pb.
Edit. Just noticed your bit about the tabbed programs. I'll try later and see what happens.

Sorry to say it but mine works just fine wherever the cursor is.
I know if I go to windows update that there is an update to the trackpoint driver for mine (an HP by the way) but I haven't got it, if it ain't broken don't fix it!
Maybe there's an update for yours or maybe even an older driver that'll work, although it sounds like it is working ok except for within the PB editor.

I tried deleting the PureBasic.prefs file and reinstalling PureBasic (4.10) and the problem persists.
This only affects my notebook, only the source tabs that are not the first, and scrolling does work if I focus the source area and use the touchpad scrolling anywhere on the IDE window outside of the source code area.
I'm guessing that some check to see if the cursor is in the source area is evaluating the wrong way. Scrolling on an external USB mouse that I plugged into the notebook.
