It's a small team and I find it extremely amazing, that they are able to juggle between
OSX, LINUX, Windows and Spiderbasic. Furthermore there's a massive and constant stream of
requests, enhancements and bug fixing...
Quite unbelievable.... :|
Instead of bemoaning over herd mobile instincts, I'd better paraphrase Lennon — when you start putting out cross-platform languages, people start asking for Android support.

Nope. There are enough products available for cross-platform mobile development (must be hundreds of toolkits).

You can already see the limits of the team, in my opinion. While they are doing PB 5.23/5.30 now, SpiderBasic Alpha
development seems already been halted for 2 month. When they continue SB dev, PB dev gets halted or low priority for a while.
Release cycles get longer. Adding more and more targets, or more products, would make it even worse (without growing manpower).

That's a jaPBe bug, then. PureBasic has nothing to do with jaPBe.
I compile using 5.31 (x86) on Win 7 Ultimate (64-bit).

@Didaktik: As PB said it is not a problem with the PureBasic IDE since jaPBe is its own thing.

The error is due to v5.3 no longer including a separate debugger for unicode, formerly named 'PBDebuggerUnicode.exe'. So when jaPBe tries to launch it for unicode compilations it can't find it.

There is a quick fix.

Simply go to PureBasic IDE's 'compilers' directory and copy the file 'PBDebugger.exe' and rename the copy to 'PBDebuggerUnicode.exe' and jaPBe should work fine. Hopefully in the near future this will be fixed in jaPBe (hopefully by me).

I still do not understand what it is. It is possible to do something with fonts, but 5.22 and 5.30b7 on the same system menu perfectly show

As the beta 8 was broken for Linux x86 users, here is a quick new beta 9.
