Sind selbstextrahierende Archive, kannste auch einfach entpacken und selber dorthin schieben, wo es hin soll

The installer wants to install to the purebasic directory, to make sure all the files are placed in the correct directories (you have no idea how many messages I got because of wrong installations). If you don't like it, just unpack the installer manually (the installer is basically a self-extracting zip file, so you can open it with any archiver [7-ZIP, WinRAR, WinZIP, etc...])

short question: what would the installer do on a system with more than one purebasic-directories?

e.g. I have:
Programme\PureBASIC\
Programme\PureBasic3.9\
Programme\PureBasic4.0\

could your installer cope with that?

Er installiert dorthin, wo die Registry hinweist. Dieser Eintrag wird bei jedem öffnen der PureBasic.exe erneuert (es sei denn man stellt dies per Parameter
ab). Hab ich aber bereits 2 postings vorher angedeutet.

Also: PureBasic.exe öffnen, und zwar die, wo die Libs hinsollen, und dann installieren.

Ich entpacke aber grundsätzlich, weil ich die Examples anders strukturiert
habe, mich behindert dieses SFX nur

well, in fact I would expect everybody who wants to program,
to be able to shift some files in the correct directory.
whoever can't do this, should better not try to program.
