Was ist WinFX für 2D + 3D Grafikprogrammierung ?

Demnächst kommt eine neue Grafikschnittstelle namens WinFx von MS, für 2D + 3D Grafikprogrammierung.
Ist das wie DirectX, OpenGl oder was ganz neues, was die anderen ablöst ?

das ist so nicht korrekt. WinFX umfasst mehrere Subsysteme. U.a. auch die
Windows Presentation Foundation, welches das Grafik-Subsystem darstellt.
