Read this article for the first time in 1994 and was pleased to see that SGI still had it on their site...

Read it, laugh, think and think again... :)

And this... This is "hard stuff"... MAN!!! This is sooo cool... :D

One short example from the page (TM Silicon Graphics),
Futurist Programming Exercises
  • * Remove all system files that haven't been accessed in the last 6 months. Ours works fine!
    * Write a program that dynamically generates code.
    * Try indenting from right to left.
    * What is the shortest program that will accomplish your task?
    • o lowest number of characters in source.
      o smallest executable.
o executes least number of instructions.
    * Write a program using assembly language. Compare this to a C++ implementation
It will change your life forever... Hehe...

Did the person who wrote that stuff really mean it?
Or is it just written for a good laugh?

This ones pretty good (concidering todays modern languages)
Object-Oriented = slow and bloated and late and buggy.

For a good laugh I think, but also a bit serious... Sometimes it makes me stop and think, though...

The part "How would you wash a window?" is so true - and I'll try to think of it when I manage a software developer project at work...
