PureBasic 4.0?

I saw a rumor about PureBasic 4.0 in another forum... When will it be released? What are the big news?
Can't wait to get my hands on it...

As you said: just rumours.
There are no big news, dunno where you got that from.
There has to be a 3.9 before that anyway, and even that is far away afaik.

but does it depends on how big the release is to increment like that ?
ex big release make it go strait to 3.9 other wise a small one will only make it 3.82

Well, logically, there has to be a 3.9 before 4.0, and if you look at the
history, you'll see that each major update takes at least 2-3 months, so
i highly doubt that you'll see 4.0 in 3 months.
Besides, i think that the update from 3.9 to 4.0 will take longer than usual
anyway, because of the much planned things.
@blueznl:
the .01 updates are bugfixes only. From what has been changed/added
so far, there won't be another bugfix release before 3.9
Hey, just wait'n see... 3.81 isn't that old yet...

I plan to release a big Visual Designer update, but its a huge job, maybe in 3-4 months.
Version number 3.9 or 4.0... i have no idea

but look at winamp. from 3.* to 5.

In the aircraft stearing system I was involved programming, we skipped edition 13... *lol* The same goes for seat 13 in some aircrafts...
