Back in the day I was coding 2d games in BlitzBasic, which was really cool. But it was fullscreen only, no way to open even a simple window with a button. In their online FAQ they recommended PureBasic for such purpose. Well, it was love at first sight.

Bought the full version through André, I think it was version 2.50 – still payed in German Marks. Since then PB has been part of my life. Coded several specialized tools for a multitude of clients. This made me a living for more than two decades. Today I just code for fun as a hobby, but still love to be part of this great journey. Following the ongoing development of PB is pure joy!

Happy Birthday, PureBasic!
Thank you for everything and keep going.

I found PureBasic as a box in a computer store in 2004 and quickly switched to the full version.
Since then I have some application services with customers running.
I'm still writing tools ;)

The currently a tool to occupy the F keys (F1 to F12) as I want it and not as the program allows it.

Happy Birthday to the best kept secret in RAD programming!
I'm dismayed by the bloat of C# and the slowness of Python and the nonsensical frameworks of Javascripts supporting CSS and html web pages.
Still using PB wherever I can.
C for most else.
