I could install PureBasic up to version 6.21b9 but now the SmartScreen of Windows Defender does not allow anymore the installation.

The computer was protected by Windows. The start of an unknown app was prevented by Microsoft Defender SmartScreen.

Before this, there was a little underlined line "additional information".
After clickling this link another button appeared "run anyway" and the installation could be done.
This is not possible anymore. Not even with local administration rights.

As this happens only at my intranet site in office, a rule may be added to regulations or Microsoft itself did update/change the rules for SmartScreen.

With this post I just want to drive attention to this.
At this very moment I am not able to use PureBasic anymore on my office PC.
Hopefully, PureBasic does not get "unknown" some time on regular, private PCs at window site.

How likely is this to happen on Linux? (I want to start to move from Windows to Linux for my private use)
Is there a way to let certify PureBasic somehow?

Switch off the virus scanner for installation.
Install PB to C:\winAPP and add the folder to the virus scanner whitelist.
Switching off the virus scanner during installation is also recommended by other companies.

I now use PureBasic from a pre-installed folder done on another PC.
So PureBasic.exe after installation runs.

I will try to get a certificate again, as the trick to validate the package on MS site doesn't work anymore.

Maybe you could offer an installation free zip-variant?

exe from the zip will be also blocked IIRC

I got my brand new certs, can someone try the demo and release package for Windows x86 and x64 to see if it's properly signed ?

I don't know if this is related, but on my Windows 10, Defender reports that install program for 6.21 is dangerous.

May be it will be sorted out when the certificate will be recognized by Windows as safe (takes 2-4 weeks)
