The documentation states:

#PB_File_SharedRead : the opened file can be read by another process (Windows only).
#PB_File_SharedWrite: the opened file can be written by another process (Windows only).

But, what does "Windows only" mean? Does it mean that if I provide the constants on the mac they will be harmlessly ignored and used on Windows (like I'd expect), or do I have to CompilerIf check them?

There are ignored as there is no such mode on linux/osx
