PureBasic Forums - English

Forum of German and SpiderBasic forum is opening. But not english forum
I am login from VM-Linux on the same machine.
From macOS 15.1.1 with Safari v18.1

Yes there is too much request from Intel macos scripts so its disabled for now. You can may be try with another browser or changing the user agent

I have changed the user agent.

Is that the problem with the macOS scripts that made the forum so slow?
I assume that it is not from my computer

Yes someone or a bot use osx like user agent which almost freeze the forums

I used Wireshark for macOS to check the traffic from my computer to purebasic.fr ...
No virus and no unusual traffic from my side

I see slow down when guests > 20.
But, human guests are not exhausting the forum.
Any chance to force logins with non-guest account?

Fully agreed, user agents are very easy to spoof and I think a right out guest block would fix the problem once and for all.
Even if it gets removed again after a while to be more welcoming,I'd say enable it at least until what is effectively a DDoS attack stops.

I just spoofed my user agent in a very, VERY simple way (on Mac)
I think I better not say how for the moment…
…anyway I bet it's a Mac user angry at Fred because of the form “designer„
