Pure Racer Demo

Hi all,
maybe some of you remember the Racingtest, which I posted some months ago.
Well, soon after that I started Pure Racer. Now I don't have time to finish
it and my harddisk with all sourcecodes crashed two months ago, but I saved
a playable version on my other drive :) You can download it
here.
If you got a 1.4Ghz-CPU and a GF2 like me, it should run at 60 fps without
problems. I hope you like it.
Bye,
Tomek

It works really good and it's impressive... Too bad you loose all your sources, keep up the good work !

Thank you Fred. The loss of the sources may be bad, but I will use OGRE next
time, if I'm going to write it again. Should be looking even better then :)
Oh, I forgot: you can add some of your favourite music (mp3) to the
musicplayer. At the mainmenu, select 'Options -> Sound and Music
-> Edit playlist', browse your harddisk and select some songs. If I'm
playing it along with some Metal/Rock-tunes, it is even more fun :)

I'm ready to assist you as much as I can if you want to use OGRE for the next version. Feel free to contact me, I plan to update the 3D features at the beginning of the next year (with OGRE 0.13).

8O *BAMM*
*Berikco gets back on his feet after falling down*
Whow, impressive!
i got white Square (Sprite3D?) in the right down corner thats rotating, and moving with the engine RPM.
I guess this must be a RPM counter?
GeForce 2 MX400

I think, I've messed up something with the transparent color, because I got some
problems myself in the past with the RPM-Counter (the white square) and the
minimap at the top (got a GeForce2 GTS, no problems now). Thank you guys, for
your feedback. Didn't expected, it would even run smooth on a 450Mhz-Celeron :)
Thanks again Fred for your assistance. I must admit that I've coded not much
since my harddisk crashed. Slowly but surely, I'm getting this special feeling
back ;) I think, I'll take a closer look at OGRE in the next weeks and contact
you, if I'm in trouble.
Bye,
Tomek

On windowed modus, the trees has a lila boarder (in fullscreen-mode it is ok).
in the right corner are only two big white boxes (in both modes).
p.s.: Frame about 50-60.

Yes, I wrote my own engine for this game (used only TransformSprite3D()).
Btw: any complaints about the gameplay so far? I would appreciate some
feedback about that, too. Is it fun or does the game just suck? :) What
do you think about handling/drifting?

First of all, the grafix and the navigation through the menus are very good and easily usable! So, it is fun to click through

.
By pressing [RETURN] to get a better view is also
extremely good. For my point of view, I would like to have a little
harder steering and additionally a bit more
sliding through the curves.
Well, thats just my wish - lets see what the others think about.
