purebasic and the ps2 linuxkit

hi@all

will purebasic run in the ps2 Linuxkit ?

Havent tried it but as long as you have a sane gcc chain and the rest of the requirements met then it should, as all distros of linux are based on a central core.

However the widgets may not work unless the linux kit has Gnome, Kde, etc..., and SDL and whatnot installed. I dont know how the linux kit works, if it installs on the PS2 harddrive or just liveboots from the cd. If it just liveboots you may have a problem. If it installs to the PS2 harddrive then you may be able to setup all the proper requirements.

Just so i get it all right, PS2 is short for Sony Playstation 2? If that assumption is correct i seriously doubt that PB will run on it unless the processor in it is x86 compatible.

I don't know what CPU PS2 uses - I seem to remember its called "emotion" or something like that. Nintendo's current GameCube & the 2nd generation X-Box(will) both use IBMs PowerPC CPU - the same one that powers the MAC, IBMs AS400 & Unix Servers...
