Haven't been here in a while, but to put PB on an ARM Chromebook... :)

Greetings to all,

I haven't been using PB for quite some time now since I've been doing something entirely different in my professional career, so I have a lot of catching up to do version 6 wise, however, this "Raspberry Pi" version (I guess that's more of a publicity thing) really got me back.

Some time ago, I bought Chromebook and this little machine was pure delight. So when I figured out "RbP" version of PB, I gave it a test run, and... :)

Naturally, builds work across the ecosystem!

I even tried it on Fedora@Mac M2 - works like a charm.

Really looking forward exploring new stuff that Fred and the team put in the meanwhile!

With my very best,

B

Rasperry is also based on debian 12 so that's great to see it works well on other debian arm

The PB Arm64 version will also run on a Linux Arm64 virtual machine with a macOS M1/M2 host system ;)

I've build myself a workstation for ARM development, based around NXP LX2160A (16c@2GHz), 64GB RAM, NVME disk and Radeon RX 550 graphics card, all on Ubuntu 23.10.

However, I'm running in the following graphical IDE issue:

Haven't dig much, but does anyone have any clues how to fix it?

Edit: Oh, well...

Played a little bit with the kernel to make sure nVidia works now, and who'd say... not a single issue with nVidia proprietary drivers. :slow clap:

Edit2: After thorough research, had to get back to AMD, found appropriate patch for the aarch64/GPU combination and voila - hopefully, this seems to be it! :)
