I have been using PureBasic 6.04 LTS (Windows - x86) on Windows 10
For some reason the Background Color setting for Comments in the IDE must have disappeared ?
Because my code ;comments has recently changed to a dark gray background, which makes it a lot harder to read and is more distracting.
I don't know how it got changed from it's previous lighter gray color. It also covers over non commented text if in the same text line
which it is not suppose to do.
I tried many different things under Preferences - Editor - Coloring, but can't seem to find a way to change it back, or even to be able to remove it.
The Comments text color had not changed and had been set to a green color which is fine.

The PureBasic 5.73 LTS (Windows - x64) does not have this problem, and the commented text displays correctly and looks very nice
Is this a bug in the IDE ? , or is there anyway to change it to either a lighter Gray, or to just set it to the standard background color?

Thank you for any ideas or help in trying to fix this if you can.
It would be much appreciated.

I would say there never was an option to set background color for comments.
Could export you color settings and also show screenshots of the problem.

There is the general color setting (as fryquez already said), but no way to change the background of the comments.
And then there is the "Issues" section. Here you can also define different background colors.

I got it solved with something Axolotl said.
I checked the Issues section before and found three items, but one didn't make sense.
So I went back and checked that one.
I changed the color on that item, and low and behold, it eliminated the issue.
I then deleted that entry.
I have no idea how that third issue got setup and entered with the color code: Blocker.
But it's gone now, and I am able to read my code better again and without distraction.
