Has anyone tried to install PureBasic on Puppy Linux (or another similar lightweight sub-gigabyte distro) ? Is it an easy process? Note that Puppy has its own package manager. No apt-get.

Thanks mk-soft, I will check it out.
But if I'm not mistaken there are many other dependencies that need to be installed, so I was wondering if anybody has experience using PureBasic on Puppy Linux.
I will also look into AntiX, which seems to be another nice lightweight distro.

Yes I did. It was a while ago but it was purely luck. I'd failed a few times but succeeded after I had installed a suite of other programs, these I believe installed all the dependencies needed. The programs included Audacity, Meshlab, Misfit3D, GIMP, LibreOffice, Blender and probably a few other graphic tool and utilities that I have forgotten. Sorry I can't be of more help, I will try to find SD card I installed it on and give you a few more details

Just an update on this topic - In the end I've settled on Bodhi Linux, which is another very neat lightweight distro, and installing PB was quite smooth.
