The helpfile link on OpenWindowedScreen takes me to a blank page so I have no way of finding the arguments for

OpenWindowedScreen()

Does anyone know what the aruments are?
This is what the example shows, and while that opens a form, its untitled, etc...
OpenWindowedScreen(0, 0, 0, 640, 480, 0, 0, 0)

Also what is the event called that is equivelent to the OpenWindow()'s #PB_EventCloseWindow

?

I tried doing a forum search and got the "No topics or posts met your search criteria".

While I have this topic open what data does CatchSprite() require? I have a decompressed BMP data, but JUST the image data, no header info of any sort, thats loaded to a memoryid and I need to create a sprite from this data. do I have to make fake headers? if so what kind of information does CatchSprite require, exactally.

OR is there a way to write image data from memory to a sprite that was created with CreateSprite().?

I don't know what version you're using but the link is there in the english version of the manual(PB3.80)
syntax is:

Code: Select all

Result = OpenWindowedScreen(WindowID, x, y, Width, Height, AutoStretch, RightOffset, BottomOffset)
You're not searching right, i found this among many others:
viewtopic.php?t=8133&highlight=openwindowedscreen

CatchSprite requires the bmp header data. For an 24bit uncompressed BMP the header is not hard to create...

I do not know if it's possible to use the DrawingBuffer() commands on a spritebuffer, you can try it out and see if it works..

I am using the online helpfile, as the helpfile I have offline is the linux 3.50 one (which is fairly old), and I dont have installed or use the windows version of purebasic so dont have that helpfile installed.

I did a search for OpenWindowedScreen Arguments, and set it to all words. so any topic with both of those words it it SHOULD have shown up. Else the search function on these forums is broken.
