I seem to have turned off the IDE's feature so that when you type a " ( " after a function name that you get details of the parameters that go into it.
I was likely playing with auto-complete or something in the past and turned this off.

Autocomplete works fine but I can't find a settings in prefs to turn this on again.

Could someone remind me

I dont' think you can disable that.
Make sure the ide's window is maximized is the only thing I can think of.
