The Download Site for All Releases

First, I would like to thank Fred and the team. As this software is invaluable to me. Which brings me to my concern about the official download site:

https://www.purebasic.com/securedownloa ... ration.php

I know that we need to login with our "original" login, which thankfully I still know what it is, even though it's an old email address (VERY OLD EMAIL ADDY) that I no longer have access to. The log-in process still works and I am able to update as needed. With that said, it would make me feel more comfortable if it were updated.

Is there an easy way to accomplish this, or will it be a task on your side? I do not want to create more work for anyone, as I know the 'day in the life' of a dev.

Cheers all, I hope everyone is well.

It would have to be done on their side, however I keep all my information encrypted. When you change emails you can still update your email information but like you know, you always need to sign in with your original email used time of purchase.

Congrats on the 2k posts.

Two things that I've done that might help...

#1 - Anytime I 'purchase' software, I put all the details in a 'PAID FOR' folder.
e.g. c:\PAID FOR\PureBasic\
I back up this folder to 2 external drives on a regular basis.

#2 - I made a 'Password Storage Locker' database program in PureBasic that tracks all my important data including passwords.
It is also backed up by the above process.
When I need a password, etc.... it's right at my finger tips.

Thanks! -- Hey blue & thunder, long time. :) I have all the above taken care of since the early 80s.

I even run a full backup on all drives once per week, and about every other day I run a differential. With that said, I also have every login in a safe encrypted place. My question really wasn't about me, but someone taking the time to update the userDB behind the PB DL server.

It's not a big deal to me, and never really has been. Just an OCD thing.

Cheers and Happy Coding!
