A suitable file for Blender

Post by pfaber11 »

Hi I am looking for a file type to use for my models created in Blender . I am looking to use something like collada .dae files but it seems I can't use this . Can I export ogre .mesh files from Blender and how . Thanks for reading .

Well I've got the hang of the OgreAssimpConverter and all seems good . Producing ogre mesh models. When I come to upgrading the ogre models it tells me they are out of date even after the upgrade . ? Also the meshy player is putting the mesh on the screen but with no annimation however I will deal with that later . At least today I have made some progress.

I'm still at the point where I make the mesh I then upgrade the .mesh file but I still get the same message telling me It needs to be upgraded.
Any wisdom would be appreciated . Thanks

I haven´t used Blender for years, but...
Remember to use the right exporter for your Blender version.

I got the OgreAssimpConverter working in the end and gave up exporting .mesh from Blender . So I now make my models in .dae format and then convert them to .mesh afterwards. seems to work well although I have not tried any animation yet.
