What are the new features between PB 5 and 6 (except C backend and 3D engine)?

The new C backend is a huge step forward and includes better speed (gcc), compatbility (c++ library linking will enable several new libraries), Raspberry PI, gtk3 and general linux libraries update. Generally said, it is a signifikant step forward for purebasic.
Give it a few months after the v6 release and you will see people supply new library bindings like natively including for example the htmlagility pack thanks to the new C backend.
Within a year after the v6 release, you will see several new functional enhancements that simply take too long to do right now.
