looks like we had a bit of a prolific bot spamming the forum.
sorry I don't have a magic wand to delete 130 posts, Rings or Admins might though.

Some forums have a "trap" thread where if someone posts a comment, their account and comments are deleted directly.
Something like "If you post here your account and comments will be deleted".
Could something like that be implemented here?

What about limiting new users? Plenty of forums do that; if you’re new you have to confirm your messages, or have a delay before it is displayed.

@Fangbeast
Thanks for the effort, unfortunately deleting posts takes more than a click I think my arm would fall off.

@Joubarbe
That would probably be the best option but I doubt it will happen.

Stupid question: I had problems a while back with my original account "Jac de Lad". We couldn't solve them so we agreed to delete my account...which deleted my posts too. Shouldn't that apply here too?

Admins can and maybe Rings, he has said in the past it's easy to delete multiple posts. It takes ~10 seconds for me to delete a post. so it takes quite some time to nuke 130 I've given up for now with 50 posts left. fortunately I'm not awake yet.

I highly doubt phpBB doesn't allow immediate bulk deletion of all posts by a user. Other forums do (SMF for example).

Idle, I would have done more but lot of pain in my arms these days. Should try finding a reliable office chair that puts me at the right height and doesn't sink every few minutes.

Don't ever do such things manually. It's a forum full of software developers after all :(

Bitblazer, too late. I have Osteoarthritis everywhere and that's the reason i do many things manually to get the limbs moving and not frozen in place.

Doctor said "move those limbs" so i move those limbs:):)
