My memory of LE1 was that the background looked amazing, but playability suffered from having to much going on.
I could never figure out what was going to kill me and what wasn't.

Don't worry, the playability was fully reviewed... it's better than the first episode.

LJ2 is a clone of R-Type but this second episode has a lot of news:
Megabombs, ship transformation ( into buggy,submarine,.. ),megaboss, dynamics backdrops, and some surprises...
We hope that Shoot them up' fans will be happy!
And thankx for the comments

playability was fully reviewed... it's better than the first episode.
Then I am looking forward to reliving a golden age.
From the screenshots the graphics are even more amazing. With playability too...

How do you do it?

How do you get such amazing graphics?
Are you using PBs graphic libraries, or your own DX stuff?
What are you using for the sound?
