Well that's just another thread I'm creating here from nothing to do at this long winter evening (and night).
Let it be about some "sociology".

I'm interested to ask, especially those who living in EU or US -- have you ever heard about Ukraine? If yes, what you can tell about this country?

This is the only 1 forum where I'm posting in english (not counting other non-forum channels), so creating it here and hope to see some opinions for my "statistic"

The... Ukraine..? That's a flavorful beer, right?

"Paid shooters" -- may be pro-russian shooters, doing war on Donbass like they did before in Georgia and other near countries.
"Russia countering eastward expansion" -- another lie, there is russian military agression on Ukraine which still continues, which Ukraine stopped as it was possible in 2014-2015. Yes, Crimea and few near parts still occupied and there war goes on against russians (not a civil war, like often Russia lies).
MH17 was also hit by russian military specialists who though it is ukrainian aircraft (as there are investigation results already), just as always there is a lot of russian lie around. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malaysia_ ... _Flight_17
Damn I know there is a lot of completely lieful propaganda from russia (that's why russian channels getting banned now everywhere), but anyway didn't expected so much ^^
What about Zelensky, well it finally stopped to be comedian and generally looks like a wise man.

One of my best jobs consisted in preparing some products for Ukraine and Russia.

It was in a R&D department in France. And I was employed to prepare all these food products especially for these two countries.

For Ukraine : A big stick of ingredients in the language of Ukraine, pasted on each bag.

And for Russia : A big stick of ingredients in the language of Russia, pasted on each bag.

A conflict between the two countries occured. Consequently, my department lost the contracts for these areas of the world, and I lost my job...

I hope Ukraine and Russia will stay in peace, because the peace brings the peace again, and more memory and money for everybody.



The greatest thing I must thank Ukraine and Russia, and I think I might really not be alone to thank you, is that without Ukraine and Russia, my country, the France could not talk about civil nuclear industry :

The very big part of the nuclear garbages are brought to Ukraine and Russia. This causes not to be proud in France to talk about "clean" energy : all is hidden in reality. All is false and lied about the real cost of the nuclear energy.

Lots of countries in the world are using this system : they use others countries to hide the problems. If it stopped just to here, it would not be so important. But behind, there are public money to enforce this, or to be bypassed...

Russian bots like a lot to manipulate facts and pervert them and speak a lot and loud about nothing, like Trump was doing.
I don't know why you posted about Azov, Azov is not related to Ukrainian government and its ideology never was close to official (not more than nationalistic parties in any country are), and it is clear even from article you posted.
And it is not even related to "paid shooters".
All those speeches about nazi etc were also narratives of russian propaganda, as the ukrainian nationalists at first time of war were almost the only one force which stopped russians. Only much later we formed a new professional army (which nowadays is one of most experienced and combat-ready in Europe), instead of volunteers like that Azov.

And btw about propaganda yes, in some cases even Time and other serious western medias were fooled by russian lies. It came even so far that Russia was able to affect USA internal politic by its propaganda and bot army in social networks and again, pro-russian media news. But fortunately the world in total is not that stupid like kleptocratic russia is, and the truth in many things (like that mentioned story with MH17) in result becomes clear and measures are taken.

Lol, unfortunately. Still there are some corrupted judges working on russians and implementing totally illegal verdicts (while having immunity because of being judges, and we are not a russia to just kill them or jail). That will be a good day when ukrainian justice system finally will get a reforms and get cleaned of such exploits.

That's funny a bit btw, cause their motivation is clear.
They are so weak today (pro-russian forces), that cannot do anything in response when we removed & banned their TV-propaganda channels.
They tried to use "titushky" first to bring the chaos on the streets, but that failed and they were disarmed by police and nationalists yesterday.
They can't escalate a war and occupy Ukraine, cause today our army has enough powers & rockets to return all the russians home in case of massive attack.
They threat to do president's impeachment, but having no powers and reasons to do that in a legal way.
Now they trying to destabilize ukrainian society by using corrupted judges to declare things which should (by their opinion) affect many ukrainians. Illegally renaming a street, what a revenge
Anyway that decision will be canceled by higher (and clearer) judge instances, like it already was before.

No one was "fooled". The US media "chose" to report the information for political reasons. All media do this. It is a form of social manipulation. China understands this and locks down all internal media. The saying in America is "To get the truth, you must read between the lines".
