I have been searching the web for hours but didn't find something than can nearly be called a 'match'. But I do not give up hope
Does anybody know a good and free to use library (PB or DLL) which can:
And (if possible) do the same with ogg vorbis? I know, my expectations are high, but this is a reason to continue, not to stop, I think

Lame seems to support only encoding of mp3-files. And it is only provided as C Source.

Have a look around on some of the mirror sites. I found a pre compiled DLL version of Lame on one of the a while back.

Hi
sorry
i just stumble across the link, and i assume it could because of the quoted stuff
anyway sorry for the distraction
Can I use LAME in my commercial program?
Yes, you can, under the restrictions of the LGPL. The easiest
way to do this is to:
1. Link to LAME as separate library (libmp3lame.a on unix or
lame_enc.dll on windows)
2. Fully acknowledge that you are using LAME, and give a link
to our web site,
www.mp3dev.org
3. If you make modifications to LAME, you *must* release these
these modifications back to the LAME project, under the LGPL.
*** IMPORTANT NOTE ***
The decoding functions provided in LAME use the mpglib decoding engine which
is under the GPL. They may not be used by any program not released under the
GPL unless you obtain such permission from the MPG123 project (
www.mpg123.de).

I ve coded a very simple encoder, you can grab it
here.
It can do :
- mp3 => wav/ogg/raw
- ogg => wav/mp3/raw
- wav => mp3/ogg/raw
It doesn't support resampling, it can only encode 44.1 khz songs. Decoding them take only 2 minutes of coding with
Fmod.

This could be done with BASS.DLL + LAME.EXE + OGGENC.EXE
BASS.DLL could be found there:
http://www.un4seen.com/music/
I have done it myself for my "ZAP Media Solution" package.

Can you describe your problem ? For wich format does it create corrupted files ? (wav, mp3, ogg, raw ?)
Don't forget that it can only encode 44.1 khz files.

I'll try to explain the problem as clearly as possible.
I have captured the report of the debugger, view it
here
The input file is an mp3-file which i want to convert into a wave-file. When I click encode the progress bar fills and I get a success message. But when I try to open the created wave-file, I get an error. I tried to do this with several media players (FMOD,Windows Media,Musicmatch Jukebox) but any returns an error.
If you like, I can mail you the mp3-file. But even an mp3-file is big for my 56k modem

mmmh, yeah, the best thing is to send me the file (
KarLKoX@ifrance.com) or upload it to your ftp (homepage) and send me only the url.
I tried mp3 ==> wav convertion with a lot of songs (vbr, cbr, corrupted songs) with success. Sounds very weird ...

But before I mail you the file, I am going to try with some other files. If it works, it's only a problem of one single file. It shouldn't happen, but OK...
