Am I the only one?

For my work I use a lot of tools. Some of them are written by my own... and some of them are paid tools for other programminglanguages.
Sometimes I remember programs I used a couple years ago and wondering what happend to them. Most of them ar disappeared or were bought by other companies, which then let them die. Some of them still exists but never get an Update for Windows 7 or later. Some of them cutout features I often use(d).
I rewrote many of the programs because there were no nice alternatives. For example Gobe Productive. One of the greatest office alternatives I ever used. Or Stylus Studio... A very powerfull XML Editor... long time ago.
I never make a 1-1 copy. I make my own guis and layouts and added (remove) features

I miss the Journal and some other features MS cutted down - FileMaker (in Progress)
To expensive and I don't like the Database - Stylus Studio (in progress)
It's still looked like 95 and it's getting really slow - ...Some other tools which only exists for germany
