Fonts geared for programmers

For a little while now, I've been using a font especially geared for programmers writing codes. And I'm hooked. It's just a great improvement... even though it makes
little difference to the PD IDE.
The font I fell in love with is called Fira and can be found on GitHub
You can read about it and other similar fonts in Monospaced Programming Fonts with Ligatures. The article provides links to a number of referenced specialty fonts.
Fira works perfectly on my system, a Windows machine, but it is provided with versions for Linux and Apple machines as well.
