Hi,

I'm new to pure basic, after years on my MSX and my Amiga with Amos I didn't do much programming for a long time. Only a little ALife program in Qbasic and C++, some Vbasic, Lingo, Assembly etc at university as well...

I was wondering about either blitz or pure to code mainly Alife and small 2d games.

Hope to make a decission soon. I'm testrunning both Blitz and Pure right now. Dark didn't cut it.

Well, the minute I say that idiotic edit screen (which on a TFT 1280x1024 looks really bad...!) I knew I had to get out....FAST.

Blitz and Pure both seem very nice indeed. I made some code involving 5000 evolving bacteria in Blitz on a field of trees (that grow) and water (that erodes the land) and it run like a charm. Now I need to convert the code to Pure...test it on pure too.

See which one is easiest and which is fastest.
