vmars316 wrote: Fri Dec 02, 2022 4:42 pm Sorry ChrisR ,
I didnt realized realize it was a Fixed price .
Anyways , I made another donation for $6 .
Awaiting a download link :
The problem is not the fixed price but the fact of making a donation rather than a purchase.
When you buy IceDesign, you receive an email, the invoice with a specific download link.
A donation is a donation, there is no invoice, no download link.

I will send you the latest version by email.
But to download future updates, you must have purchased it on Gumroad.
I will then send you a link to buy it on Gumroad with a 100% discount.
Ok , I am here: https://app.gumroad.com/checkout
When I click on the [pay with paypal] Button , a window flashes for an instant
and then nothing , Does that mean I was charged $16.82 two more times ?

Please help me thru this process , Thanks

You web browser could be blocking the popup, and... no, you are not charged because you must confirm the transaction with Paypal.

IceDesign has been updated in version 1.7.9
  • Save the settings in IceDesign form (*.icef), to keep the same configuration and the same code generated at the next opening.
  • The color selection window is now positioned next to the selection buttons for easier access. See screenshot below.
The background color of this window uses the same color as IceDesign, defined in the settings: "IceDesign Background Color" button.
  • Add a warning message, information in case you rename a control by a name already used.
Control names must be unique. As the message states, the control name is in this case renamed with the suffix _1(2,3,...).
  • Added an option (for Windows only) in the settings, to set the transparency level of the window (default 255, no transparency). Not sure it will be used much

Thanks for the update! :D

Feature request:
It would be nice if the "proportional scaling" had a new flag to only scale the position of the gadgets on its parent, but not scale the gadgets it self.
Even better if have two flags to do it vertically and/or horizontally.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks for all your improvement ideas Caronte3D
I don't really see in which case you would need to have the X or Y positions proportional and keep the same size?
Currently, you can lock the positions of a child gadget to left, right, up or down even for a proportional parent Container.
The X, Y positions are not proportional in this case but is it really useful.
However, I can see the usefulness of being able to choose between a Horizontal or Vertical resizing or both as currently. A bit like it is done natively for the Dialogs library.
Well, it's the vacations for me soon, I'll let the idea ripen slowly.

Hi, I'm talking about something like that:
From this...

To this...

Because sometimes we don't want a gadget size scaled, but only the position.
Maybe gadget button is not the better example, but think it with images or something that do you want to preserve the size.

Thanks for the screenshot, it's clear and I better understand now your need to scale only X and/or Y position for gadgets, and not the size.
It would probably be nice to be able to scale the size only horizontally and/or vertically in addition. So all combinations would be possible.

To See how to present it in the properties to stay intuitive and simple. Probably with a new "Proportional" header in properties with below, Proportional All, Proportional X, Y, Width and Height.

I had previously removed the 2 buttons to add the button "Same Size" in version 1.7.6
Add "Same Size" button to the toolbar instead of "Equal Space Horizontal/Vertical".
I guess it is more used. "Equal Space Horizontal/Vertical" is still available of course in the Context Menu.
Ok, I'll display them again in addition to the "Same Size" button for the next version.
