LittlevGL - Using a Linux display from a service.

Hi
I would like to create a Linux daemon that can access the display on a Linux PC. Currently we have been using a serial text only display but we are considering using a HDMI graphic display attached to the PC. So I am investigating possible ways to write to the display and came across the LittlevGL library written in C. So I wondered if anyone had done any work using displays from a Linux daemon and how they did it.
