GTK3 gadgets become bigger in Ubuntu 18.10

Hello!
I compiled Proofing Tool GUI in Ubuntu 18.04 and the buttons and string gadgets fit well in the windows.
However, running the executable in Ubuntu 18.10 they become bigger and no longer fit.
64-bit.
