GDPR and https

Hi Fred and freak,

as you hopefully know, this forum violates the GDPR, since no https is used. Please give the website a certificate so that you cannot be sued. After all, personal data is transferred here. You still have two days.

For more info see here: General Data Protection Regulation

Btw. Why do I never get an answer to my private messages? As administrator of the German forum I would like to be heard.

Thanks for the heads up. I don't login on the german forum, so I can't see your PM, you can send them here instead.

Hello Fred,
thank you very much. Your SSL certificate (Let's Encrypt) is enabled and works.

\\Edit:
Who hosts the PureArea.net site? You or André?

Can you add the SSL certificate for forums.purebasic.com?
It is better if you create a redirect to purebasic.fr. Thank you

@Fred
I see you've set up a forwarding. Thanks, you're quick.
But can you also forward all URLs? E.g.: http://forums.purebasic.com/english/vie ... 35#p522535  viewtopic.php?f=17&t=70750&p=522535#p522535
That would be perfect. :)

TBH, I don't know much about apache conf, so I use the default config from letsencrypt and it seems to work just well for standard cases..

Unfortunately, I can't help you. I only know about IIS. But maybe a user can help you.

What do you wanna know?

Here you can find optimal configurations for different webservers: https://cipherli.st/
Here you can test your configuration: https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/

I can also help you with redirects.

I'm hosting PureArea.net myself. Just released a (german) "Datenschutzerklärung" according to the DSGVO. See here, integrated in the "Impressum": http://purearea.net/pb/german/impressum.htm
(english version need to be done)

Any more hints about this?

Google translate it, result looks fine to me.
