Help Getting Started

Hiya,
I bought PB this morning, and I've downloaded it, installed it and taken a quick look. The help files seem pretty useful as a reference, but I could use some help getting started in general. I suppose what I'm looking for is general tutorials on the PB way of doing things, the PB way of thinking, event-driven coding in particular.
I'm not new to programming, nor to basic. I've programmed in everything from Spectrum Basic, Z80, 68000, Turbo Pascal, Amos, etc. I've spent the past year coding games and graphical demos in Blitz3d ( and I continue to do so, I don't plan on using PB for games. ) But I've never done any windows programming, or any event-driven programming, so it's going to take a while to pick that stuff up.
Any advice, suggestions and URLs appreciated. I tried the links page but the beginner's page is dead, and Rob's page is in German ( my German is very poor )
