While the 32 bit version runs on Snow Leopard, the 64 bit version does not.

The last PureBasic version to be able to compile on Snow Leopard with 64 bit was 5.43 because in order to fix compilation problems for newer MacOS versions Fred seems to have implemented in 5.44 an Xcode compiler switch discovered by wilbert which sets the minimum MacOS version to Lion:

Thanks for the info. I guess I can update my OS or just keep using 32bit for as long as I can. OS X 10.8.5 wasn't bad. Just don't care for OS X after that. I will have to think about that.
