This can be true in some cases, but its not a genereal rule

.
There are so many discontinued projects floating around here.
How comes that these people should all "die just away"?
Normally if you get sick, you can say a word. I know how it was at PowerBasic long years ago.
Also people started running away, later several of them were found here at PureBasic.
Paul Dwyer, Bob Houle just few ... as example.
I do not like the idea to assume that people who possibly just change their interest, to get declared "dead".
Instead i wonder that nobody here ever had an address or Phone number from Gnozal. He was so popular here.
Besides that there were more. I have seen several discontinued Projects, Pre-Parsers, IDEs, OOP aproaches etc.
If they are all dead, there must be some "Killer" running around dedicated just to kill PureBasic Users

.

In this case we need to put a warning onto the PureBasic package

. As well as on the PowerBasic Package.
But i can see the same effect on many places.
At POV-Ray, possibly at Yaffaray, at Luxrender ... all these programmes had their time when they were "Modern", and when the public interested lowered, there is a species of people who loose interest and "run away".
I can tell you that Jose, the most accepted contributor of "Jose's Forum", and one of the best COM-Programmers world wide, is now writing a book on "French actors and films" ... he just looks into the Forum from time to time. If we would not have the forum, maybe he would not be around.
I only know it because we are in closer contact (and yes he sent me some chapter of his book).
This sort of people who are geniuouse programmers is a special type and its hard to predict what they do next.
We have no idea what they do if their interest changes.
