Keyboard mapping --- ctrl-a/e

Hi.
Anyone help me with this one? I do my stuff pretty much all on a Mac these days and I am an old emacs / command-line guy. I find I really really miss being able to type ctrl-a (beginning of line) and ctrl-e (end of line) in PB and have it work, just like it does in this web edit box.
Is there any way I can get the PB editor can map these keys?
Thanks .. mark.

Press the Home key to go to the beginning of a line, and End to go to the end.

Nice try, dude, but (a) 2nd gen apple keyboards, like the one on my MacBookPro, don't have either Home or End, and (b) even if they did, it just isn't the same having to lift your fingers from the keyboard to do something that is normally just there.
Any other thoughts on how to do this mapping?

Command + Left-Arrow =
beginning of line
Command + Right-Arrow =
end of line
And the MacBook Pro keyboard isn't really that big;
it's all just there.

Sorry mark, I wasn't aware of that. Wouldn't Macs have a way to remap the keyboard globally anyway? For example, this app looks like it might suit your needs:
http://www.cocoabits.com/KeyBindingsEdi ... index.html
It even says that it supports Emacs meta binding-style multi-keystroke bindings.

Doh! Many thanks, dude. I got stuck in the "it's the editor's responsibility" thought and you are exactly right. A quick search and I found
https://pqrs.org/osx/karabiner/index.html.en
It does the trick, is free, can pretty much map anything for everyone, and fixes the "problem" globally. Sweet!
Many thanks .. mark.

Thanks, TI-994A, though I did find a solution that will work for me with ctrl-a/e (see other post).
