Apple is notorious for giving developers hardware! Have you contacted someone at Apple and asked?
I know it sounds funny but I know *several* people developing software that they wanted to port to OSX/9 and apple gave then a system to use.
I'll see if I can find someone for Fred to contact directly.

Heck I'm sure many PB users would donate money to Fred to get
the Mac. If we each give Fred $10. That would be enough.
Fred... I would buy you a PDA if you made a PB for PocketPC...
No really. Fred is doing great job... Too bad he doesn't have help.
All the best Fred!!!
Tom.

I'm slowly talking someone out of (and Fred into) a G4
Give me another few weeks and i'll have you one, Fred.

Go, go, Karbon!
Aren't there more Mac users out there than Linux users? Does anyone know of recent stats?
Anyways, my decision to give PureBasic a shot instead of RealBasic (and thereby thrashing my plans of making a MAC OSX version of my app) were solely due to PureBasic's great update scheme and affordable price compared to RealBasic's lowsy ditto.
I'd love to port my app to Mac -- and I'd gladly pay another 59 € for the Mac OSX version!

I'd rather Fred work on improving PB for the 3 platforms it already supports...
Unless he dropped the Amiga version and traded it for Mac OS

Have you seen any support for the Amiga version since 2.92?

You can't get RealBasic for $59...
You pay at least $99 for one OS (OSX or Windows)
OSX + Windows = $198
If you want cross platform = $399
BTW:
I would rather learn ADA or ALGOL as buy a product from them.
They destroyed RapidQ.
(They offered William Yu (the coder of RapidQ) a job, but he was not
allowed to open his RapidQ sources to the RapidQ community...)
PS
Hope Fred has enough money for living and he never will abandon PureBasic...

I can say from personal experience that RealBASIC, while usable, really leaves a lot to be desired. It's executables are gigantic and I've had a *lot* of trouble getting simple applications to run on both platforms.
All IMHO of course, your experience might be a great one!
