I checked the User Control Panel, no settings have changed. Not sure what has happened, but I am no longer getting thread update messages. Has anyone else run into this?

The checkbox below to notify me when a reply is posted is checked!

I am not getting email when private messages arrive. It's broken for many month already.
Have to login from time to time just to check for private messages.

"Notify me on new private messages:" is still set to "Yes".

Maybe the mail system is broken.

That's kinda weird.
I'm still getting e-mail notifications when there are new messages in a public thread to which I have subscribed, and also when I'm getting private messages.

Have you checked your spam folders?

Of course.

I have as well. No email about these replies.

Does this issue depend on the chosen theme/skin of the forum?

I know, it should not depend. But ... who knows

Not many themes to choose from, but mine is "subsilver2". I think it's the default theme for 15+ years.

I used prosilver for some years.

I also had this thought, but if e.g. RichAlgeni didn't change anything recently but all of a sudden the mail notifications stop, it's unlikely due to the theme.

I was also wondering if the mixed usage of the old and official forums-address could be a reason. If you check the 'want to view the newest post'-links in the mails, you'll find that they vary. This depends on how the user of the last posting has been logged in.
Maybe the forums-software doesn't assign a visited posting as 'read' if you're logged in via the other forums-URL at that moment. (???)

I still get both kinds of notifications, useing subsilverPlus.

But I also learned recently that msMail doesn't notify about junk-mails anymore and that gmail switched to behave alike or similar (I didn't get the full info about what was changed exactely, except that it's a further pain for all users).

All showing 'read.'

I have my own domain at 1and1.com. I just checked the mail settings, I have the spam filter turned off, and receive email in Outlook. As far as I know, I get all other email.

Notify me when a reply is posted, is still checked.

Ok - so the reason must be somewhere else.

If you had quoted this from my posting it should not come out as Danilo's quotation.

Idea: if it has to do with the forums-software, maybe switch to a different theme and alter maybe the date display. This should force the forums-software to seriously update (re-write the database of) your account-settings. Maybe log-out (+ remove the cookie) and in again and return back to your primary theme and settings.
With a bit of luck this double re-assigned account-setting will turn out to work again as wanted.

I took the opportunity to download Microsoft patches, clear cached Chrome files, and use the latest version of CrapCleaner.

I will update this thread with the results, as soon as someone posts a reply.
