PureBasic Forums - English

In my opinion having some kind of "like button" (without downvotes) is mandatory for any kind of serious discussion board nowadays.

Especially in our beloved PureBasic forum it could be really useful. Advantages:

• Very helpful posts and topics are more visible.
• Highly demanded feature requests (such as this one ) are more visible to the PureBasic team.
• It's easier to read through a long discussion of several pages if all remarkable posts are highlighted.
• It's obvious that we already want to use it. Just look at all the +1 posts on other feature requests.

Implementation should be easy. A quick search (with queries such as reputation, karma or thanks/like button) revealed these active and well maintained phpBB modifications:

• phpBB Ajax Like
• Post Love
• Reputation System
• Older ones: Karma MOD, User Reputation Points or a more technical step by step guide

Anyway, I'd say the 1-3 hours for research and installation would be well spent since it's actually the forum software that drives this wonderful community.

That's interesting because now it's more common (and useful) than ever. Hopefully we don't have to wait another 10 years...

Yes, that is cool idea used on forums to replace empty posts like "+1" "thanks" "nice stuff", and to highlight the most useful posts
