is it possible to record the output of a screen and save it as a avi file ?

Hi...
i found an example on Visual Basic at planet source code that create an avi file with multiple bmp files, im interesting on this and i tried to convert to PB but i dont know very well Visual Basic. If someone knows how to convert visual basic codes to PB codes the source is here:
