I tried to run a demo ("Demo_Word doc to HTML.pb") that uses WordApplication.COMateObject.
I have installed

• PureBasic 5.3 32 bit
• COMatePLUS_PB5
• Word 2013 from mircosoft office 365 (official full version - not starter or something similar)

The error message in debugger is

!WordApplication
Invalid progID/CLSID. Check your spelling of the programmatic identifier. Also check that the component / ActiveX control has been registered.
