Unrar.dll and french character set

Post by Denis »

Hi all,

when i uncompresse french encoded rar files, unrar.dll is not capable of restoring characters with french accents for the names of files if any.

I downloading unrar.dll from french rar web page, but it's the same.

I think it's the same for other language.

Did anybody have an idea :?:

Use standard Chars only, '0' - '9' , 'A' - 'Z' and '_' , '-' , '=' , '[' , ']' ...

Or even better: Write a report about it to the makers of unrar.dll.

Thanks Danilo

As you write it, it's the better way.

But winrar in french is capable to encode/decode correctly french char set, but without unrar.dll file (internal function).
