In Northern Germany, in the North Sea, there are several so called "Halligen" (= small undiked islands), and some of them have a school. The number of pupils can of course vary from time to time. E.g. on the tiny Hallig named "Nordstrandischmoor", in 2003 there was also only 1 pupil and 1 teacher. (article in German: Germany's smallest school ... Cheating? Impossible.)

I've seen them in Baltic countries too. People in big nations and cities make fun till they have to compete with people who went to those schools..
