For all german-speaking people there are also boxed versions ("PureBasic - Game Programmers Edition" and "PureBasic - Professional") available, which include the version 3.30 of the PureBasic compiler. This cheaper versions are not free updatetable, if you're interested you can upgrade to the full version for a special price. Look in the order section for more details.
Question is the "Pro" Version of PureBASIC the same thing as the current version of PureBASIC or is it better?

The "topos" PRO version is version 3.30, without visual designer and commands that are added after 3.30
AND NOT updatable to 3.62! you need to pay a onetime fee to the full version 3.62
So its not the same, and not better, its older (cheap price)
It does have a printed manual.

The mentioned "Pro" version have - like Berikco said - as additional things compared to the Gamers Edition a printed manual (around 100 sites of 320 in the PDF manual) and a special organizing program with sourcecode. You can use all available commands until v3.30 and you have full access to the WinAPI. But it's - because of the cheaper price - not freely updatable.

So its your decision: buy the Topos version and try if you like the PureBasic concept, and buy the upgrade later. Or - better anyway :) - simply buy the full version on http://www.purebasic.com
