Sounds like unit testing used in psychology.. Build a bunch of statistics on top of something random like humane behavior, call it science because it increases probability of output prediction(chance)..

Economics and psychology have some of the most idiotic mathematical models of any science.. Both change their models about every decade as a result of the geniuses in the two fields realizing it's all fake science based on coincidental proof..
