A better name?

At the risk of getting flamed to flinders, I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that 'SpiderBasic' isn't the coolest name for a new product (no offense, Fred). I get the connection, Spider->Web->hey, internet! but is there an alternative that makes the same connection but sounds a bit cooler? How about 'BlackWidow'?

Venom
Tarantula
Not fond of the name either, but it is a hell of a lot better than monkey.
If I had the naming rights, it would have been PBWeb.

SheloBasic
Shelo = rope (similar to web), in Romani, the Indic language of the Gypsies
Also, the name of the spider in the Lord of the Rings is also embedded in the name (i.e. Shelob).
Another variation: CordeBasic.

Oh my! I hope none of you had (or will have) to name a child
I think SpiderBasic is okay, PureBasicWeb is my favorite.

I think SpiderBasic is a good name!
Looks like a great product, too.

Nothing wrong with the name Monkey at all, and I know the product, I have it, damn fine product too!

I think naming products is the worst task, very difficult to get right as there are
so many opinions.
We should be focusing on how good the product is, it's just a name.
SpiderBasic is a fine name!

I, too, think it is a good name.
The biggest challenge will be if you google "spider compiler" you end up with dozens of hits for tips and questions about writing your own web spider/crawler. (Plus an actual spider compiler itself, not written by Fred.) You also see SpiderMonkey, the scripting language.
...I guess what I am saying is that it is an overused name with other topics, and not original for writing code (with several direct and indirect competitors using the name spider). It would be terrible if Fred ended up in a pissing match with one of them over the name.

I'm with you, I don't like the name either.
There are so many creepy web spiders already crawling around the internet.
If I were a businessman, then I'd think about reinforcing the
Pure brand not
B.A.S.I.C..
So if I think of a better name, then I'll post it, for what good it'll do.

Well said. Pure should be in the name or something other than Spider, since that is an alert keyword for antivirus. For example, you would not want it to be called BotBasic!
Naming is a tough task as PureScript and PureJS are already taken.

Using a sexual innuendo as a product name is never a good idea.

Well that's at least two of us who feel that way.
Assuming that a product name change for PureBasic in not in the immediate future,
then not only should Pure be in the name of this new product,
but if possible the name should do a good job in helping to define the product.
After a moderate bout of ruminating I conjured the descriptor
"Browser Application Language" to describe the function of the new product.
The total product including the language compiler, debugger, IDE, examples, and documentation could be considered the BAL Luxury Suite.
It follows then, that this new product should be called
PureBALLS.
