Just trying to fix this but I don't have a pad with hat. Does anyone has one for testing so I can send a debug lib to see how to detect it ? (on OSX)

Dear Fred,
I strongly suggest you to buy something LIKE this:
https://www.amazon.it/dp/B07TRQH45S
It was cheaper when I bought it…

It works (e.g., on SDL2 tests) as joystick or gamepad…
It works with emulators…
It has motion sensors…
It works on Mac and win…
On win, if you connect it by cable, it's seen as xbox 360 (you may need a restart…)
Thoroughly tested on win 10 for the joy of my neighbors' kids…

Please don't use it to play Jets 'n Guns and forget about your Fans

Me too, 360, "very compatible"… (and I have a wireless one too, and original Gamecube ones …… the best…) but then what did you mean by "Hat"?

Edit/PS: whatever you meant, SDL2 seems to see ANYTHING, and the one I posted was just because IMHO it's ideal to test if "you can see anything"
