i think this is too much horrible since the biologist forget that those structures can have consciousness any time but they can't express this because they don't have limbs and other tools.
remember the people who have permanent vegetative state a percentage of them are fully aware of their existence but can't express this to the outside world. the same with this medical development. and resembles the movie story in which a company preserve an exact copy of you in an island so when you need something like a heart or a kidney they take it from your copy .

Hi applePi, and thanks for that interesting article. However, we must not confuse biology with consciousness. These stem-cell matrices that they are cultivating are nothing more than organic building blocks, and aren't necessarily aware.
