1. I use the Enter/Return key.
Change in Preferences - Shortcuts - Insert the selected AutoComplete word = [Return]
9. ^ operator would be nice, but the Pow() function does exist.

2-This object is not user friendly at all, I think the object is needed, such as VS 2010 interface.
I think it is perfectly adequate, it is functional and easy to use. It certainly isn't ugly! VS has a lot of idiosyncrasies of it's own but at the end of the day, you can't please all of the developers all of the time.

I guess your last sentence is true, I thought that was the best way to deal with so many properties at once, and it seems to do the job for most that use the form designer
