Old Blitz Basic package

Post by PB »

I was going through old boxes in my garage today and found
this old treasure trove from my past. It's what I used when
coding on the Amiga back in the day. You can tell PureBasic
was based off it, as the commands and languages are very
similar. :)

Check out the yellowed pages where my fingers were... the
books got a LOT of use!

+1

I also have lots of original C64 books, and even a VIC-20 one.
I doubt I will ever part with them. Coming to the grave with me.
They're a massive part of my childhood and coding heritage, and
looking through them takes me back to far happier times. :)

I have most of them as scanned PDFs now for convenience, but
it's good to have the original printed ones, too. I need a beer.

I still have my C64 programmers reference guide and a few other odds and sods hahahaha, Still got a working C64 and a shedload of hardware/software to go with it ...and I still have my Amiga 4000T but I must admit, I've not fired either of them up in around 6 or more years... I really should pull that lot out of the attic and check they are still functional :).

and PB, that beer sounds like a mighty fine idea... I'll join you :)

Ho my,

My ex-brother in law used amiga, Amstrad and I used only Apple II stuff.

my first encounter with basic with a small casio pocket calculator/computer around 1980 even it has Goto, Gosub, call, Dim, Data,...etc . another version of that calculator have Prolog. i remember hearing someone talking waw that programming issue are too difficult, look to the "call" how much it is difficult to understand, (he means call sub)
