Newbie question:
Does the 32 bit version of Pure, run on a 64 bit machine? I am still running Windows on 32 bit computer but would like to know if purchasing the 64 bit version will allow me to program while on the 32 bit machine and later, when $$$ allow, I move the compiler to a new 64 bit OS and Machine. Any suggestion or advise will be appreciated so I can make the final decision.
Thanks.
Alberto.

When you buy PB you get all the compilers.
So when you are still on Win32 you have to use the 32 bit compiler and later
when you switch to 64 bit you can use the 64 bit compiler as well.
Of course 32 bit executables also run on 64 bit systems.

Thanks Shield.
This is wonderful news. I can start programing on my old XP SP3, which by the way goes very well, and when I will purchase a better machine I can still run the PB. The only fear now is the learning curve of PB, but I see a lot of good support on this forum and with some documentation found here, I will be able to make through and keep learning.
Thanks for your fast response.
Sincerely,
Alberto.

Find the book, a pdf PureBasic Beginners Guide--this will get you started better than the help file.

Well, to be fair: In the help file is this relatively new
Getting Started section which looks pretty promising. In case anyone is wondering, the online help is the same as the pdf you'll get when installing PB.

so far as I know,PC hardwares nowadays all support 64bit architechture, it should be yourself that decide to run whether 32 or 64bit.maybe you can install a 64bit Win,which installs a 32bit VMware OS.
